I am always amazed by the outpouring of love and support we receive from the community. Team Noah’s latest support came from our local JCPenney store in Dartmouth. I was first approached by a friend and JCP employee, Maggie Lourenco. She asked if it was okay for the Dartmouth store to fund raise for the Team Noah Foundation during the month of March. I was so touched that she thought of us and referred the foundation to her store manager, Chrissy Santos.
The JCP employees were truly amazing – they sold Team Noah spirit bracelets, they happily paid for wearing jeans (versus their typical dress pants), had a soup sale (a nice twist on the traditional bake sale!) and had a family/friend “Bowling for Noah” night at WonderBowl.
They were extremely proud to break their previous fundraising record and raised a total of $850! Chrissy was so excited for us to pick up our check, but we had to put it off due to Noah’s passing that same month. When Victor and I finally made it to pick up the check, it was very emotional. The staff members were all so visibly moved that their actions truly made a difference! When the playground is done, the whole JCPenney crew will be able to visit and sit on their very own bench with their name on it.
If you or your business are looking to hold a fundraiser for the Team Noah Foundation, please email firstname.lastname@example.org! We would love to work with you.
