Team Noah Thanks GNBVT Carpentry Students for Their Incredible Support
The Team Noah Foundation is thrilled to celebrate the contributions of the talented Carpentry students from Greater New Bedford Vocational Technical High School (GNBVT)! Over the past few months, more than 30 junior students played a vital role in the construction of our playground on Pope’s Island in Fairhaven, MA.
Under the guidance of Mr. Goncalves, the students took on the wood framing of our new state-of-the-art ADA-compliant public restroom. They devoted special attention to the architect’s historically significant trim details, ensuring that every element was crafted with care. These restrooms are designed to welcome everyone and feature alarm systems and outdoor surveillance to keep all visitors safe.
We are so grateful to these students for lending their skills, time, and energy to a project that will serve families for years to come. Their dedication not only helped bring our vision to life but also strengthened our community.
Noah’s Playground is the largest fully handicap-accessible playground in New England and one of the largest in the country. “We wanted to do something that would help many families,” said Victor Fernandes, founder of the Team Noah Foundation. “The students’ contributions remind us that it truly takes a community to create a place where all kids feel included.”
Thank you to the GNBVT Carpentry students for your hard work, commitment, and passion for making a difference. You are an important part of Team Noah!
